Steve hit a deer late last night near DM on the way back from St. Louis. He wasn't hurt, but the van was:



I forgot to include these yesterday. Here are some short videos about Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). They do it at many hospitals. Omaha is the closest to us, I think. It'll be several years before the research on early stages is complete.

On a side note- I discovered the other day that typing on the laptop is easier for me- smaller, so my fingers don't have to move so far.

Brrrr Easter

A chilly day in the neighborhood. Snowed lightly this morning.

Laurie and Sean and boys came for a nostalgic dinner- Pan-fried home-grown chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, home-grown sweet corn, applesauce. The flower arrangement is from my geraniums which are blooming like crazy.


This was a snap-down-the-front demin jumper that I made into a vest and skirt last week. I bought it for $4 at a consignment shop in Missouri last fall.


The Neupro patch (which I had to quit due to allergic reaction) was recalled this week due to not uniform efficacy of the drug on the patch. So folks in the US have to quit till the problem is fixed. That would really be bad. I guess it's a blessing I'm already off of it.

Good Napping Weather

It's a chilly day in the neighborhood. Not a whole lot happening here. Still trying to adjust to my makes-me-sleepy drug. In time the sleepiness should go away. Steve says he can notice my tremor is less. So naps, preferably in the sun, are essential.

I DID manage to reupholster our black office chair. I found a remnant that resembled my leafy countertop.

A very sad note was that Jeff and Stephanie's baby (5 mo. inutero) had died. They will decide today whether to deliver or have a D & E. This is her second second-trimester miscarriage in as many years.
